Last night, Mitchel Musso, best known for his role as Oliver Oken on Hannah Montana, was arrested in Burbank, CA for drunk driving.

The cops pulled him over around 3:43 AM, after he failed to slow down for officials directing traffic for an unrelated accident. When the police approached Mitchel's vehicle, a 2007 black Mercedes Benz, a "strong order of alcohol" was wafting out of the car, so he was immediately asked to step out. He then failed a field sobriety test with flying colors and when given a breathalyzer test, he blew well above the .08 legal limit.

Oh, and did we forget to mention ... he's only 20-years-old! So, not only was he arrested for suspicion of DUI, but he's also probably going to get nabbed for underage drinking.

Such a proud day for his parents!

Maybe she'll get around to watching that the movie now.

An Italian appeals jury overturned Amanda's murder conviction today, bringing an end to her prison sentence and the freedom to return to her family in Seattle. Her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was also cleared of the murder charges. Amanda retains the defamation charge for when she tried accuse club owner Patrick Lumumba of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher.

As you can see from the video (above), Amanda cried with jubilation as she was whisked away back to prison to collect her things and finally return to her family and friends back home.

In the early hours of this morning, the police were called to the West Village apartment of Ashley Dennis, the stepdaughter of former New York Governor David Paterson. Police arrived to find Ashley standing over the body of Brian McGuinness, her boyfriend for over a year. According to the police report, Ashely hit Brian over the head with a frying pan in self defense as the two were having an argument and Ashely claims he came after her. She first threw a bottle at him to stop his advance and then clocked him on the head with a frying pan.

Brian, who is being charged for assault for choking Ashley, was taken to the hospital and treated with three stitches. Ashley didn't sustain any injuries but she is also being charged with assault.

Boo! Violence is never the answer, but we're glad she had the strength to stand up for herself. Course, we wish she could've done it without the frying pan al la Tangled.

Yesterday, we informed you of the sad news that Kara Kennedy, the eldest daughter of former Senator Ted Kennedy had passed away.

On Saturday, another political figure's daughter died at the age of 51, as well. Eleanor Mondale, daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale passed away after suffering from brain cancer on and off for six years.

Her father and former vice president said:

"Our wonderful daughter … after her long and gutsy battle against cancer, went up to heaven last night."

Losing both women has been a terrible tragedy. Their families are in our prayers.

How horrible!!!

A 39-year-old man is currently being tried for allegedly killing his mother after she refused to get him premium skybox tickets to an Avril Lavigne concert.

Prosecutors say that when Linda Bolek wouldn't call a friend and arrange for him to get the skybox tickets, the man, Robert Lyons, went "ballistic" and beat and stabbed the 61-year-old woman to death.

His defense attorney claims that he has bipolar disorder and was "provoked" into doing it after she held a knife to his face during a heated argument. She said:

"This defendant was so angry with his mother that he bludgeoned and repeatedly stabbed her in a fit of rage.

She threatened to stab him in the eye. That reaction was not intended, that reaction was not planned."

He then poured several household chemicals over her body, changed his clothes, went shopping, and was arrested hours later at Hooters.

W...T...F...???

Bipolar or not, provoked or not, this man clearly needs to be locked up. What a terrible and tragic story. And all for a pair of Avril tickets... Really?!?

Austin Powers Actor, Joseph Hyungmin Son, Sentenced To Life In Prison

Joseph Hyungmin Son, the Austin Powers actor, today was sentenced to life in prison without parole. On August 25th, he was found guilty of a felony count of torture after he was linked to a 1990 gang rape of a then 19-year-old woman in California via DNA evidence. It was Christmas Eve 1990 when the 19-year-old victim, known as Jane Doe in court records, was walking her dog by her apartment complex. She was abducted by Son and Santiago Lopez Gaitan. The two drove the woman to Huntington Beach where she was raped and sodomized at gunpoint, even pistol whipped and was told repeatedly that she was going to die. They eventually let her go, naked, and severely injured. They blindfolded her with her own slacks and somehow she made it to a nearby home where authorities were called. The police did gather evidence from the victim, but sadly, nothing came of the case. Fast forward to 2008, when Son was arrested for vandalism and violated his probation. He now had to submit a DNA sample. That was all it took to link him to the evidence obtained from the victim in 1990. Now he will serve life in prison [...]

Vivid's Steve Hirsch, who currently owns the tape and doesn't know who's trying to buy the tape, confirmed that a rep for the buyer is NOT Kim. In fact, he or she is not even "remotely associated" with Kim.

Steve says, "It made sense the entire time it would be Kim, but it appears it’s not."

So, then, WHO IS IT??

Nobody knows, but Steve says that the mystery buyer will reveal him or herself once the deal is done. AND, they will explain WHY they wanted to take the video off the market.

Unfortunately, it's nowhere near done because the buyer is still several million dollars short of the $30 million asking price that Vivid wants for the tape.

Kim has been said to be VERY interested in who would do such a thing. And you know what?? So are we! That's a hefty price tag so someone must really be a fan of Kim's or a real hater of sex tapes to want to pay so much to have it gone forever.

Rosie's back and she's more honest than ever.

In the October issue of O magazine, not only did Ro open up about working on her new show for OWN, admitting that it's the first time she's been "excited" for something in a long time, but she also spoke honestly about getting over her anger issues and the downfall of her marriage with Kelli Carpenter. She revealed:

"You know, I think I had a lot more rage than I was aware of. But I’ve gotten back access to my other feelings. I’m not cut off from my emotions anymore … The rage has gone away … There’s been a healing.

I had, like, zero estrogen. And since I got some, I’ve been able to function more normally. I’ve stopped being so angry."

Her new outlook on life is also why she calls this stage in her life "a new beginning." Back in 2007, her marriage fell apart when she and Kelli realized they were two different people. Rosie explains that it was "humbling and humiliating ... In the O'Donnell family, no one had ever divorced." As for why the two ended things, Rosie goes on to explain some of their differences:

"She wanted to play tennis at the country club, and I don’t do country clubs. I tried. "They made an exception for a gay family, and we joined. It was a big thing: 'They let in a gay family – whoo!' So I show up to play with her, and somebody comes out and says, 'You can’t play unless you have tennis whites.'"

Wait. Did they really argue over tennis? We hope there's a lot more to it than that! And we're sure there are.... Sorry you and Kelli couldn't work things out, but seems like you two now have a mature relationship for the sake of your kids. And things are on the up and up for you! Good luck to you and your show!

A paparazzo by the name of Willem Pieterson has accused Australian country singer Keith Urban of going on the attack. Get the latest here on Urban’s run in last Wednesday in Nashville. Out and about having dinner with his actress wife, Nicole Kidman, in Nashville, Tennessee last Wednesday, Keith Urban allegedly became angry after a photographer, Willem Pieterson, began snapping pictures of the two celebrities as they were leaving a restaurant by the name of Giovanni’s. In a statement issued by Don Aaron of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department to Gossip Cop, Urban (per Pieterson’s filed report) got into his car with Nicole Kidman and then proceeded to pull up to the photographer’s “vehicle in the wrong lane. Pieterson alleges that Urban yelled at him, and banged on his window” before getting out and then banging on Pieterson’s “car with his fist and kicked the rear passenger door.” The Nashville Police did however check out the paparazzi’s car and “observed that it was not damaged.” After reportedly going crazy on Pieterson’s vehicle you would think there would be some visible marks? After spending a couple of days in the desert of Palm Springs, CA, David and I packed up our bags and made our way back home to LA. To be honest, I don’t think Palm Springs is my thing. I totally get the relaxed vibe but for some reason, all that free time made me feel antsy. I liked our lodgings at the ACE Hotel fine but I wasn’t in love. I will say that it was nice to get away for a couple of days but, meh, I prolly would’ve had a better time if we had stayed at home.

On our way back to LA, we did stop off at the high end outlet shopping center off the freeway. Now, I am not an outlet shopper … but this place has Gucci, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Barney’s, Saks and MORE outlets! That being said, I really didn’t find anything that I fell in love with. David picked up a few cool things and I did find a totally bitchin’ denim jacket at the Levi’s Store but I didn’t go nearly as crazy as I thought I was gonna … which is prolly a good thing.

No plans for today … lots of laundry and cleaning up to do. David and I are visiting his brother next weekend in San Francisco so I gots to get this place in order. Happy Monday!!
